When Evan Bell was 8 years old, he accompanied his family to one of his brother’s auditions in his hometown of Santa Barbara, CA. He was intrigued by the process and decided to audition as well. This sparked his interest in theatre, which fostered and grew into a passion. He started participating in youth theatre, favoring those productions over his previous interest in sports. He became heavily involved his high school's theatre and vocal jazz programs, earning multiple awards in both. After graduation, he attended the University of Northern Colorado to further his education in musical theatre and jazz.

In 2011, Evan was diagnosed with a herniated disk in his spine, which was caused by degenerative disk disease, threatening his future career. At this time, Evan was forced to discontinue his education and return home to focus on rehabilitation. After recovery he spent a few years participating in local productions and studying acting at Santa Barbara City College. In the summer of 2015, he made the decision to move to Chicago, IL to pursue acting and musical theatre on a professional level.

For over 16 years, Evan has prided himself on his wide range and variety of theatrical and vocal experience. He has countless musical theatre productions under his belt, including "The Cave: A Folk Opera", which received top honors and a command encore run at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. He has shown a strong proficiency in solo vocal work, including an appearance as a finalist in Chumash Casino's Rising Star competition. As an undergraduate, he was in UNCO's Northern Colorado Voices, a prestigious group normally reserved for graduate students. He spent time with the Sound of the Rockies, who finished third overall at the 2011 BHS International Convention, an event his collegiate quartet also qualified for. He has filled non-acting roles for local productions as a director and technician and spent a couple years as a songwriter. As a playwright he received a staged reading of his one-act at the Rubicon Theatre Young Playwrights Festival.

During his career, Evan has worked with notable artists Ben Folds, Katy Perry, Imogen Heap, David Crosby, JR Richards (Dishwalla), Jimmy Messina, Georgia Stitt (America's Got Talent, multiple Broadway shows), and Cheri Steinkellner (Cheers, Teacher's Pet).

Evan Bell currently resides in Chicago, IL, and is part of a new local a cappella group called Lakeshore Dynamics.
